MAN Diesel & Turbo’s activities in the power generation and cogeneration sectors are based on a well established range of diesel engines and a rapidly growing gas engine offering.
On the liquid fuel side, two- and four-stroke engines in a power range from 450 kW to 80 MW. can utilise heavy and distillate fossil fuels as well as an increasing range of renewable liquid bio-fuels.
Currently CO2 –neutral bio-fuel engines from MAN Diesel & Turbo are in daily operation on plant oils including palm and jatropha oils, used cooking oils and rendered animal fats.
On the gaseous fuel side, single and dual-fuel gas engines from MAN Diesel & Turbo covering a power bracket of 2,3 to 17,55 MW are gaining an increasing share of the global market for power generation and cogeneration using both natural and non-natural gases.
